Discovering a Passion for Painting
Warrick was raised in the picturesque surroundings of West Auckland, New Zealand, during the 1980 and 90s, where native bush and vineyards framed his childhood. Though creativity was always part of his life, it wasn't until he moved to Cambridge, Waikato in 2022 that he discovered his passion for painting. Exploring acrylic painting as a creative outlet, he quickly fell in love with the medium and began a vibrant new chapter in his artistic journey.
Influences and Inspirations
The breathtaking landscapes and rich, diverse cultures of Aotearoa/New Zealand are at the heart of Warrick's artistic inspiration. His work is also deeply shaped by the stories and influence of his parents and grandparents. Each piece reflects his strong connection to his homeland, his heritage and his passion for celebrating its beauty - with a touch of his sense of humour woven throughout.
